NH Foods confirms workplace incident at Oakey Beef Exports
NH Foods Australia can confirm that there was an incident at the company’s Oakey Beef Exports plant yesterday afternoon, which resulted in an injury to an employee.
The employee was airlifted by LifeFlight helicopter to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
NH Food and Oakey Beef Exports are unable to provide full details of the injuries suffered, but it is understood that, although serious, they are not life threatening.
Oakey Beef Exports will cooperate fully with the relevant authorities investigating the incident and provide all access and assistance possible to understand how the incident occurred.
As such investigations are now underway, NH Foods and Oakey Beef Exports are unable to provide any further public detail as to the circumstances of the incident.
The company’s thoughts remain with the injured employee, his family and colleagues, and it will do all it can to support his recovery.
