Newman Road closed in March for repairs
Motorists who usually use Newman Road between Wyreema and Drayton Connection Road will have to seek an alternative route as works begin to replace a damaged culvert.

The works are being carried out by the Joe Wagner Group on behalf of Toowoomba Regional Council with funding from the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements program, jointly funded by the Queensland and Australian Governments.
The damaged culvert crossing is being replaced for flood restoration works.
This work will require excavations which will not leave sufficient room for traffic to pass through the site.
As a result, the road will be closed for up to four weeks, the length of time depending on weather conditions.
A detour will be available via Toowoomba – Karara Road with Shepperd Road as a route back to Drayton Connection Road.
Maximum works hours are expected to be 6am to 6pm.
