New Millmerran Aquatic Centre opening soon
Final works and testing are now underway on the much-anticipated new Millmerran Aquatic Centre.
Toowoomba Regional Council has confirmed that testing is expected to be completed in coming weeks, in time for the official opening in September, prior to the beginning of the spring/summer swim season.
The newly constructed facility features a gleaming new outdoor 50-metre pool, an attractive toddler pool with beach entry and a zero- depth splashpad and water features that promise lots of fun for the Millmerran littlies and visitors.
The Millmerran Aquatic Centre will be accessible for people with disabilities and includes a wheelchair access ramp into the main pool.
New facilities on site also include change rooms, kiosk, showers and amenities.
The Don and Gwen McPaul Grandstand pays tribute to well known community identities Gwen McPaul and her late husband Don, who was manager of the Millmerran Pool for 12 years.
