New look for Allora Medical Building
The Allora Medical Support group has had a busy year investing in the two buildings under their care on behalf of the Allora Community. This year’s investments included the purchase of an ultrasound machine and a new medical bed, alongside regular repairs and maintenance to ensure the facilities remain in excellent condition.
The major project of the year was the remodelling of the entrance to the medical building.
This initiative, while taking considerable time, has significantly improved the safety and accessibility of the building.
The AMSG extends its gratitude to the community for their patience during the construction period and acknowledges the fantastic work of T. Gardiner, whose efforts brought the project to life.
A working bee by some AMSG committee members over the weekend brought the finishing touches to the project, demonstrating true community spirit.
The Donavan Building has also seen improvements. The AMSG warmly welcomes the Allora Vet Clinic to these premises and wishes the practice every success in its operations.
Additionally, the parking area has been modified to accommodate more vehicles, with the disabled parking space relocated to ensure safer and more convenient access to both buildings.
The AMSG held its 12th Annual General Meeting on October 8, 2024. Chairperson Garry Wilson reported on a successful year and expressed heartfelt thanks to the members for their unwavering support and volunteer efforts in managing these vital assets for the Allora community.
Mark Mason kindly chaired the election, which saw the current management committee re-elected:
Garry Wilson – President; Jon Constable – Vice President; Mary-Lou Gittins – Secretary; Kaye Wilson – Treasurer.
The AMSG looks forward to another year of progress, working to enhance the facilities and medical services available to the Allora community.
