New Golf Club President
At the Annual General Meeting of the Allora Sports Club held on Monday evening, Brooke Gilmore was elected as Golf Club President.
Brooke is the first female in the 25 year history of the Golf Club to be elected President.
Brooke is looking forward to the challenge and has undertaken to bring a more consultative approach to the Golf Club and she will try to play at least one round of golf with every member over the next 12 months.
Brooke was also elected Vice-President of the Sports Club which will ensure that the golf members have a strong voice at the monthly management meetings.
Assisting Brooke in running the golf club will be Captain Duke Maloney and Vice Captain Hethe Ramus.
All other office bearers of the Sports Club were returned with Greg Patterson as Patron, Kev Harrison as President, John Ellwood as Secretary/Treasurer and Wendy Ellwood as Provedore.
The Sports Club has enjoyed another successful year and the committee is looking forward to an even better 2023.
