Netballer off to World Cup
Millmerran’s Rachael Curtis was recently selected to play Super League Indoor Netball for Australia.

The Nationals were played in South Australia over October 22-29 and the Queensland Open ladies team, of which Rachael was Captain, won the Championship.
Rachael was awarded M.V.P. (Most Valuable Player Award) and awarded the best player of both competitions by umpires and coaches in a three, two, one, points system.
Rachael is the daughter of Paul and the late Kellie Curtis of “Wycharro”, Millmerran.
She will be playing for Australia in the World Cup which will be held in Brisbane next year.
Rachael developed her love of Netball while playing at Millmerran State School and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to play at the newly built Millmerran Sports Centre.
She is at present working as a Registered Nurse in the theatre at the Royal Brisbane and St Andrews Hospital Brisbane as well as studying for her Masters Degree in Nursing.
