Mother‘s Union Friendship Day celebrations
The Pittsworth Anglican Mother’s Union held its annual Friendship Day service and morning tea at St Andrew’s Church in Pittsworth.

Friendship Day is a Deanery Day and the Pittsworth celebration saw members of both the Toowoomba and Warwick Mother’s Union’s join the Pittsworth Mother’s Union for a church service, Eucharist and morning tea.
During the church service, guest speaker Kate Venables, who is the Director of CatholicCare Social Services in Toowoomba, spoke about her life and job.
A number of awards were also presented during the church service.
Award recipients for 20 years of membership in the Mother’s Union were Mildred Hammond (posthumous), Karen Cronk, Leonie Lee-Archer and Dale Nutley.
Those who received a badge for 25 years of membership were Mary Volk and Jan Shaw.
Carole Baker also received a scroll to acknowledge her 10 years membership.
The 25, 20 and 10 years of membership awards were presented by the guest speaker Kate Venables.
Val Hayward received an award for 60 years of membership in the Mother’s Union at Country Council which was held at St Lukes on May 18.
Bev Perry (Diocesan President) presented her badge.
