Mirrabooka Revisited
Mirrabooka (now a Guest House) was the scene for Russell, Lowleen and families to celebrate the 75th birthday of Russell.

Many happy memories were shared at the party - reminiscing about locals and businesses in town when they were growing up in Allora.
Both Russell and Lowleen attended Allora State School. They lived about 3 miles from the School so it meant they rode their horses to school.
Both being born at the Hospital they recall being cared for by Sister Sharpe who would sleep on the front open-air verandah. The Mirrabooka Hospital closed in 1947.
Their sister Christine was the first born at the Allora Hospital in Herbert Street.
Grandfather William Erlandson owned the property “Richmond” just out of Allora.
