Margie's roo hopping off to Paris apartment
A little piece of Pittsworth is bound for Paris after a local artist had a fortunate meeting in Brisbane between Christmas and New Year.
Margie Makim had just picked up her new business cards from The Pittsworth Sentinel and handed some out when catching up with friends at a Brisbane café.
One of those in the gathering was visiting from France and happened to be looking for art for an apartment in Paris.
“Is it for sale?” she asked, seeing the painting featured on the card.
Numbers were exchanged and the painting, featuring a roo in motion and a gum tree on Margie’s property, was snapped up before the last sip of coffee was gone.
