The event is being labelled “Monday March” and will take place on the King’s Birthday public holiday, October 7.

With his personal journey of mental health struggles, and the loss of a primary school friend to suicide in 2021, mental health awareness is something that Mr Quinn is very passionate about.

He’s organised the Monday March to start in front of Lindenbergs in Yandilla Street.

Everyone is welcome to join in, and encouraged to arrive early, so it starts promptly at 9am.

The march will end at Centenary Park, near the Town Hall, where the Pittsworth and District Men’s Shed will be cooking up a sausage sizzle, supplied by Ashton’s Butchery.

Green ribbons are currently selling at local businesses in support of the Monday March.

Direct donations can be made online at team.beyondblue.org.au/patrick-quinn

Over $1,000 has already been raised, exceeding the goal set.

The ribbons will be available to purchase throughout the month of October.

The proceeds from the event will be donated to  Beyond Blue.
