At approximately 7:40am, emergency services were called to East Greenmount after a semi-trailer rolled over on the sharp corner of Falknau Road near the intersection with Greenmount Eton Vale Road.

There were multiple Queensland Police, Queensland Ambulance (QAS) and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews on the scene.

After it rolled over, the man was unable to exit the vehicle as his legs were trapped.

Hydraulic equipment had to be used to dismantle the steering wheel, allowing emergency services to free the man.

On the scene, QFES's Mark Haddow said while trapped, the man was slipping in and out of consciousness and it was difficult to operate.

"It's not much room to play with. We had to move some seats and things like that but we got it done," he said.

A local farmer loaned his ute to transport the man from the crash site to an RACQ LifeFlight helicopter in a nearby paddock.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesperson said the man sustained head, abdominal and leg injuries and is being flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition.

Falknau Road is currently closed to all incoming traffic.
