The training was delivered by Clifton First Aid provider Steven Hicks.

He was ably assisted by Anne Pedersen, Treasurer of the local Clifton  Ambulance Committee.

Anne spoke about the very important mobile phone app, “EMERGENCYPLUS” that can be downloaded.

It provides your accurate position for Emergency Services of “000”, SES and Police when required that could save your life and can be used anywhere in Australia.

She also provided a number of samples and information cards.

Anne also informed us of the public AED Defibrillators available outside Clifton Foodworks and Chemist in case of emergency.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea was provided by the Lone Eagle Flying School to sustain students through the long day.

Participants completed an exam to obtain their Certificates on conclusion of the course.

The Lone Eagle Flying School is looking at making this training an annual event because of its undeniable value.

This training was made possible through the support of $2750  under the Queensland Government Sport and Recreation Active Clubs Round 4 Education and Training for Volunteers.

The Lone Eagle Flying School would like to thank Steve Hicks for his very professional and informative presentation and  Anne Pedersen for her contribution.
