Local to take on new role at St Stephen’s

The St Stephen’s School community is buzzing with excitement as they welcome Pittsworth resident Tanya Hearne as a new teacher to their school in 2025.

Ms Hearne recently graduated with a Bachelor of Primary Education from the University of Southern Queensland and is eager to make a positive impact at the school.

A proud local of the Darling Downs, Tanya grew up in Millmerran and has called Pittsworth home for the past few years.

Since completing her studies, she has gained valuable experience through relief teaching across the region, all while enjoying some international travel adventures.

Ms Hearne is enthusiastic about collaborating with students and families, exploring new ideas and fostering a nurturing learning environment.

Her passion for education and commitment to community engagement promise to enrich the experiences of the students.

St Stephen’s School warmly welcomes Ms Hearne as she embarks on this exciting journey, confident that she will make meaningful contributions to the vibrant school community.
