Local boxer stepping up
Pittsworth's horse-breaker sparky turned pro boxer Stoneleigh Jackson steps up in class taking on Townsville's Aaron Stahl on June 11 at Rumours International.

The ‘Pride of Pittsworth’ welterweight will be defending his unbeaten record since turning pro two years ago with five fights behind him.
Another Pittsworth local Mohammed Al-Halfi will be having his debut amateur fight on the same night.
The main event features Thailand’s Apinun Khongsong for the WBC Australasia Super Lightweight title.
Apinun Khongsong has a record of 18 wins with 15 by KO. He takes on Toowoomba’s Steven ‘The Viking’ Spark who boasts a record of 14 wins 2 losses with 13 wins coming by way of knockout.
