Lions host Cent Sale
The Lions Club of Oakey hosted a cent sale recently at the Oakey Cultural Centre on Campbell Street.
Lions Club President Lois Thorne was pleased with the outcome and thanked everyone who attended.
“I’d like to give a very special thanks to Aim Big Employment, J.L.C. Real Estate, the Oakey Newsagency and Alan Hughes for their donations,” she said.
“I would also like to thank all the people who donated prizes and the Lions members and volunteers who put in many hours putting this all together.
“The support from the local community was fantastic to see.”
All of the money that the Oakey Lions Club raises goes directly back into the local community and helps support vulnerable people.
