LAC delivers defibs for community
Heart-felt donation... Pittsworth LAC members Mary Smith and Wilma Proudlock with Function Centre manager Belinda McKinlay, centre, while the defibrillator acclimatises itself to its new base.

The Pittsworth Local Ambulance Committee was recently able to donate two more defibrillators to the community.
This time the defibs went to our two primary schools when LAC Vice-President Mary Smith and Treasurer Wilma Proudlock delivered the devices to Pittsworth State School and to St Stephens School.
The defibs are now the property of the two schools, but have a wider application in that the St Stephen’s unit can be utilised at St Stephen’s Church across the road from the school.
The same applies to the State School unit which will be available for the school and for the function centre.
The defibrillator initiative is continuing, despite holding the hope that the units will never be used.
The Committee’s aim is to provide the widest community coverage possible within the bounds of its finances.
