Each year the club has a Wheelbarrow Raffle (value over $1,000) with proceeds donated to a worthy charity.

A record $2,348 was collected by the very busy volunteer, Paul Morris, and the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) was the chosen recipient.

Lizzy King from Racing Queensland and her band of helpers also collected with their RFDS tins - $497, making total raised $2,845.

Representatives from the RFDS were very happy with the cheque presented to them.

The Clifton Jockey Club recently held a successful “Big thank you Luncheon” at their clubhouse for sponsors, club members and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure their annual Clifton Cup Race Day was a success.

The Jockey Club extends a special thank you to Bruce Gilbert for his expertise in preparing the track and grounds.

Workers were treated to a smorgasbord lunch and free drinks to say thank you for all their efforts.

An invitation is extended to community members
to join the Clifton Jockey Club.
