Jim Anderson Re-Elected ADHS President
The Annual General Meeting of The Allora and District Historical Society Meeting was well attended with only one member of the executive changing hands.
Jim Anderson (President), Wendy Free (Secretary), Kaye Mullins (Treasurer), John Ellwood (Vice President).
President Jim will be supported by the Secretary Wendy Free, Treasurer Kaye Mullins and newly elected Vice President John Ellwood.
The main topic of discussion at the meeting was the rejection of the previously sought Grant to relocate the Drayton Street museum to the site of the main Allora Museum in Warwick Street.
It was disappointing for the Society as one major Museum would benefit Allora as well as reduce the cost of running two facilities. But never say never as the Society will try again next year.
