I’m a little bit country
Country music fanatics from near and far travelled to Nobby last weekend for the annual country music walk-up at the School of Arts Hall.

As with all events staged in small towns someone has to stand up and organise the major and minor items that need to be done for the event to take place.
Fortunately the Nobby Heritage & Development Association has a capable and willing band of workers.
From farmer turned President Warren Venz and Master of Ceremonies and farmer Graham Berry to the amazing Margaret Comerford and her group of caterers who feed an army of patrons over the three days, they and many others are thrust into organising the festival and so become “event organisers”.
Singers can’t sing without a backing band and Mel Lynguard, Gavin Douglas and Alan Taylor are the unsung heroes who provide a professional musical backing.
The Nobby School of Arts Hall will reap the benefits of money raised by the festival and the local community can use the facility for another year, tipping their hats to the event organisers.
