Huge five-figure donation
A cheque totalling over $10,000 was presented to Clifton Community Health Services (CCHS) at their community Christmas party this week, the sum raised from Pursehouse Rural’s farmer’s golf day earlier this year.
The golf day, held on the 18th of July, saw players from across the region converge on the Clifton Golf Course to participate in this inaugural event, despite stormy weather.
The proceeds of the event were formally presented to Andrew Douglas, Chair of the Board of Directors for CCHS, during the Health Services’ Year-End Celebration Event last Wednesday, 4 December.
Chris Kunde, Branch Manager, Pursehouse Rural Clifton, said he was excited to be able to donate the funds.
“We were thrilled to be able to present the funds raised at the inaugural Pursehouse Rural Clifton Charity Golf Day to Clifton Community Health Services,” Mr Kunde said.
“Thank you once again to everyone who attended and helped raise a staggering amount for such a worthy cause.”
Speaking on behalf of Clifton Golf Club, Rob Imhoff thanked all the sponsors of the event and Pursehouse Rural.
Mr Douglas said the Clifton Golf Club Charity Golf Day stands as a shining example of what a dedicated community can achieve together.
“The funds raised will go irectly towards supporting essential health services in the region, ensuring that CCHS can continue to deliver high-quality care to those who need it most,” Mr Douglas said.
