Hit and run on Stanley Street in Pittsworth
One Pittsworth family’s new year started off with a bang when a vehicle veered off the road, drove through their fence and hit the side of their house before driving off, leaving behind extensive damage.
This house on Stanley Street in Pittsworth has received extensive damage to the fence after a car crashed into it before driving off in the early hours of New Years Day.
The hit and run occurred on Stanley Street at approximately 4.20am on January 1st and the family turned to Facebook to ask the public for any information or video footage they may have to help identify the culprit, who was believed to be driving a silver car.
On January 8th, seven days after the incident occurred, a 23-years-old Pittsworth male was located and identified as the offender.
He was charged and issued an infringement notice for driving without due care and attention and a number other driving offences.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
