Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike postponed

Hike to Heal Australia has announced the postponement of its much-anticipated Annual Scavenger Hike and Team Challenge, originally scheduled for the last week of February.

Last year’s Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike, held in February, was the fourth consecutive event.
Last year’s Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike, held in February, was the fourth consecutive event.

A variety of factors impacted the decision, including current unfavourable weather conditions, event insurance, and a variety of logistical challenges that would hinder the success of the event.

Hike to Heal Australia President Jim Barton said the team is actively exploring options to form a reinvigorated event at a later date this year.

“We are committed to maximising our impact and fundraising potential to continue our important work in suicide prevention and mental health awareness,” Mr Barton said.

”Hike to Heal Australia are grateful to all who have supported this event over the years - through sponsorship, partnerships, participation, and donations.

Mr Barton said the unwavering support from the community has been invaluable to the charity’s mission and has played a key role in making a positive difference in the lives of many.

He said the Hike to Heal Team is open to and welcomes any and all feedback there might be and encourages those interested in volunteering to get in touch.

“Your insights are vital to the organisation as we navigate this transition, and we appreciate your continued support.

”Stay tuned for updates regarding the rescheduled event, which will be shared through the Hike to Heal website and social media channels.”
