Hendon Bushfire

Smoke could be seen from miles around last Saturday from the bush fire at Hendon.

Sparks from a lawn mower started the fire which was attended by about seven fire trucks from around the district including Allora, Massie, Freestone and Maryvale.

To add to the activity our local fire chief Ross Williams said their big red fire truck got bogged in a wet patch on the property. Luckily the truck could be rescued by the rescuers. 

The jury is still out on who was driving the truck.
