Lots of laughter, yarns and catching up with dear friends she has made during her professional and social life.

Daph’s daughter Julie spoke about her Mum and her achievements.

Born in Barcaldine in 1943 and raised in Blackall, Daph attended Boarding School in Rockhamption before doing her Nursing training in Charleville.

Daph was Matron of Allora Hospital, had nursing stints at Mungindi and Inglewood and retired in 2006 after 46 years of dedication to the nursing profession.

In Allora, she has been involved with Meals on Wheels, Life Education, Emergency Light and of course Scope. Daph used her knowledge to benefit the Allora and District Co-Operative Hospital including Jubilee Gardens, Nursing Home facilities, The Homestead, Allora Sports Centre and Allora Medical Centre.

Congratulations Daph on your birthday and everything you’ve done for Allora.
