Hangar perpetuates memory of dedicated supporter
The main hangar at the Darling Downs Sport Aircraft Association’s Clifton airfield at Ryeford, has been dedicated to the memory of one of the organisation’s strongest supporters.
Members of Janet Bange’s Family were among those present for the dedication of the main hangar at the Clifton airstrip, on the Bange’s farm.
Janet Bange, who was a Life Member and tireless supporter of the club, passed away last year following a long illness.
At the ceremony members of her family were joined by members of the Sport Aircraft Association along with club Patron Lynette Zuccoli, who led the dedication.
As part of the ceremony, the building was blessed by the Clifton Catholic Parish Priest, Father Rod MacGinley.
A commemorative plaque was presented by the Darling Downs Sport Aircraft Association and the Lone Eagle Flying School.
