This is a $25,000 commitment to upgrade the facilities at the Pony Club.

“It’s a wonderful pony club and everything we can do that’s going to make it more attractive for more kids can only be a good thing. We’ve got a heap of kids coming through here,” Mr Hamilton said.

“This proposal was originally an application they put in through the Stronger
Communities Program.

“It wasn’t successful but I’ve stuck with them.

“This is a commitment from both Angus Taylor (Shadow Treasurer) and Peter Dutton. All the hard work’s been done with the support of Peter and Angus.

“(Having  equestrian at the Olympics in a new facility at Toowoomba), who knows, there could be kids from the Pony Club riding at that Equestrian Centre?

“(If Labor wins), we’d continue to try and work with the club. We’ve identified this as something that’s important to Oakey.”
