In her role, Ms Hocking travels over a vast stretch of Queensland from her base at Cobb+Co Museum in Toowoomba to Bundaberg in the north and out to the New South Wales, South Australia and Northern Territory borders.

Ms Hocking, who started in the role a few weeks ago, said so far she has travelled to Roma, Injune and Chinchilla.

She said Clifton Museum is an amazing project.

“I’m blown away by how much a small town has achieved,” she said.

“It  must  have  been  a mammoth piece of work.

“Everyone who was involved should be very proud.

The museum staff are excited by the arrival of the official plaque to commemorate its opening in April.

It will replace a temporary plaque.

Although, due to its weight, there will be a bit of a wait before it can be fastened to the wall as it needs to be done by a specialist.
