Greenmount stud introduces new stallion
The arrival of a new stallion always creates interest among thoroughbred horse breeders and Clear Mountain Fairview stud at Greenmount introduced its new stallion, Alpine Edge, during its Stallion Parade last Sunday.

Over 120 horse breeders gathered on a beautiful winter’s day, all anxious to view the new stallion the Frappell family is now standing on its stud.
Alpine Edge is a striking five year old stallion, and sold by Yarramalong Park Stud at Kalbar as a yearling for $160,000.
He announced himself to the world at Eagle Farm on 12th December 2020 with a very promising first up win over 1000 metres and at his next start won the Group 3 B. J. McLachlan Stakes over 1200 metres.
Alpine Edge had clearly shown himself to be an outstanding two year old prospect.
He ultimately won five times from twenty-two starts including a win as a four year old in the Queensland Magic Millions QTIS Open on the Gold Coast.
He retired this year after winning just over
$1.8 million in prizemoney.
Alpine Edge will stand at stud this year at Clear Mountain Fairview Stud for a service fee of $7700 and looks certain to be popular with local breeders.
Also on parade was Worthy Cause, sire of Hinged a Group One winner and from 38 runners Worthy Cause has 24 winners giving him a great 63 per cent win ratio.
Sooboog, a son of one of Australia’s top stallions, Snitzel was paraded as was stallion Love Conquers All and this guy constantly sires winners.
The Frappell family certainly turned on a great day that was appreciated by the gathering of interested breeders from all over South East Queensland.
