Green thumbs: your time to shine

The organisers of the garden competition that is held during Clifton Country Week would love to see some fresh faces, and gardens, among the entrants this year.

Organiser Vee Cashin said those who are hesitant to enter because the same people enter each year should not worry as  this year it will be “bigger and brighter” and different people can win.

There are two prizes for each category (open garden, view from footpath and school/non profit) and every single entry receives a gift.

There will also be a new trophy this year as the old trophy has been filled.

The garden openings will be held on the weekend of 21 and 22 October and the organisers are hoping to arrange a bus tour during the following week.
