Grant to boost local groups
The Clifton based Darling Downs Sport Aircraft Association and the Lone Eagle Flying School have received a grant of $866 to purchase a new printer.

The grant was from the Easternwell Community Grants program, which provides financial and social assistance to community groups in the Toowoomba, Surat and Pilbara regions.
The objective is to provide funding support to local groups which offer opportunities or activities that foster ongoing benefits for the community.
This funding from Easternwell provides the numerous volunteers of the Lone Eagle Flying School with a colour laser copier, printer and scanner to enable effective and cost efficient production and preparation of essential education and safety materials.
These include training manuals, safety updates and documents, legislation changes and updates, aviation related maps and charts and the forms and documents necessary for Club and school administration.
The printer funded by the Easternwell Community Grant will further expand the education and learning opportunities for students from the Southern Queensland region.
It will enable the club to provide necessary print support for guest presenters from organisations who regularly deliver seminars and workshops at the base in Clifton.
This equipment will be available for use by various community groups to further their individual objectives.
Groups which use the club facilities include the Toowoomba Hospice, Scouts and other Clifton community groups.
Club Treasurer and Chief Pilot, Trevor Bange, expressed his appreciation to the Easternwell Community Grants program for providing this vital resource which will improve cost effectiveness.
The Darling Downs Sport Aircraft Association and the Lone Eagle Flying School are based at the Clifton Airfield on Clifton Leyburn Road 6 kilometres west of town.
