Goomburra Town Hall Play Area Paved
Goomburra Town Hall now has a paved area near the playground.

Due to the Grants to Southern Downs Regional Council’s Community Funding (which was successfully applied for by 2021 president, Gina Tranberg) which resourced the laying of the pavers. This grant came at an opportune time for the committee enabling the completion of the project.
The project started with residents, past and present who took up the opportunity to participate in the ‘Back to Goomburra Day – 115 years’ on Saturday the 11th of September 2021 by donating their personal engraved named paver to form the Goomburra Town Hall Playgroup paved play area.
We had 120 named pavers purchased and matching pavers were able to be purchased to completing the area. Colin Donges (our paver) was assisted by Terry Elford, Jenny Newton and Lesley Telford over the week in between the showers of rain we had. It really is a work of art.
This area will ensure, for those who participated, a permanent memorial of your memories and association with the Goomburra area for future generations. Come along to the Goomburra Town Hall Annual Christmas party 28th November around 4.30 pm for the formal opening of the paved area.
Plus the burying of the 2021 Time Capsule which will hold 1988 and 2006 items. MaryLou Gittins Chair Goomburra Town Hall
