Good Turnout For Landcare Ceremony
Glengallan Homestead was the venue for the Queensland State Landcare Ceremony last weekend.

Members from Allora, Clifton and Pittsworth Landcare groups attended and were impressed with the work carried out by the winners, The Community Group category Springfield Lakes Nature Care Inc.
Incorporated in February 2017 the Springfield Lakes Nature Care (SLNC) took action after concerned residents wanted to make the catchment, consisting of 3 lakes & 3 major creeks, into a cleaner & greener suburb.
Then a month later SLNC became a member of QWaLC because members saw the benefits of Landcare membership. SLNC’s aim was to hold activities that were proactive in removing litter from waterways, reducing erosion & sediment run-off.
Thus achieving cleaner & healthier water to provide habitat for aquatic life & birds/animals and improve suburbs liveability for residents.
