Good Attendance At Historical Society AGM
At the Annual General Meeting of the Allora & District Historical Society held last Thursday Jim Anderson was returned as President.
L-R Cr Russell Wantling, Jim Anderson, Kev Hurley, Wendy Free and Kaye Mullins.
Kev Hurley was elected as vice president replacing John Ellwood who stood down. Other positions filled were Secretary Wendy Free and Treasurer Kaye Mullins.
Councillor Russell Wantling chaired the meeting.
He was very impressed with the roll up and congratulated the members /volunteers for the continual work they have put into keeping the museums open for the public.
The Allora Historical Museum at 53 Warwick Street opens every Thursday and anyone who would like to assist would be most welcome.
As the members say “it’s like housework – always something to be done.”
