Fr Thomas celebrates 40 years in the Priesthood
On Sunday October 24th St. Stephen’s Catholic Parish community had a combined celebration.

The Feast of St. Stephen was celebrated as well as the anniversary of 40 years in the Priesthood of Father Thomas.
The Family Mass on Sunday morning was attended by many school families, parishioners from Pittsworth, Millmerran and Oakey, visitors and Father Thomas’ family and friends from the Indian community.
Mass was celebrated by Fr Thomas, Fr. Mick Carrol from Oakey and Fr. Siby from Townsville.
A visual tribute to Father Thomas was a focus during the Mass.
Students from the school participated in thanksgiving prayers and the Pastoral Parish Council presented Father with a gift on behalf of all parishioners.
After Mass, the congregation moved to the parish oval in Weale Street where Fr Thomas blessed the newly erected sign and gate to the Father John Ryan Oval.
Following the blessing, morning tea was enjoyed in the school grounds.
Fr Thomas cut the anniversary cake, after which the children joined in games and activities to celebrate the Feast of St. Stephen.
Fr Thomas thanks every-one who attended the Mass and sent messages and gifts to acknowledge this wonderful milestone.
