First 2 Star event for Equestrian Centre
The RM Equestrian Centre at Hodgson Vale conducted its first 2 Star One Day Event recently, attracting riders from a wide area.
Riders were out early preparing themselves and their horses on the beautifully presented grounds.
For the first time, the RM Equestrian Centre staged a 2 Star One Day Event across Saturday and Sunday of the long weekend and it proved to be popular.
Previously the venue has hosted only 1 Star Eventing.
Organiser Jo Williams said the event drew 140 riders to Hodgson Vale.
They came from as far away as Tamworth, Coffs Harbour,, Maryborough, Brisbane and the Gold Coast to join a throng of local riders.
The weekend Event comprised Dressage, Showjumping and Cross Country.
The Equestrian Centre is on land formerly owned by the great Australian bushman Reginald Murray Williams AO, CMG, who passed away on 4 November 2003 at the age of 95.
