Fest a succ-cess

Succulent Fest, hosted at Bunker’s Hill State School, is increasingly becoming a flagship event of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, this year’s staging attracting over two thousand visitors and raising nearly $12,000.

A large crowd arrived at Bunker’s Hill State School in September for Succulent Fest, enjoying the plants and many other market stalls.

This year marked the sixth staging of the event, organised by group of volunteers under the P&C Association of the school.

The $12,000 raised, through stallholder fees from 91 stalls and patron entry fees,  will help fund important school projects including the major project of upgrading the multipurpose canteen.

In addition to a massive range of succulents for sale, attendees enjoyed entertainment and activities for all ages such as face painting, a petting zoo and pony rides.
