Fatal traffic crash on Gore Highway near Pittsworth
An 18-year-old male was killed and another person injured in a serious head-on collision between a truck and car on the Gore Highway between Southbrook and Pittsworth this morning.

At approximately 6:40am a heavy vehicle travelling east on the Gore Highway collided with a white Holden Commodore utility travelling in the opposite direction at Broxburn, near Geitz Road.
Shortly after, at approximately 6:45am, emergency services received a call about the crash and police, fire crews and paramedics attended the scene.
Major damage had occurred to the utility and the truck had veered off the road into nearby bushland.
The driver of the white Holden ute, an 18-year-old male from Maryborough, was declared deceased at the scene.
The 26-year-old male driver of the heavy vehicle was transported to Toowoomba Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Both lanes of the Gore Highway were closed between Southbrook and Pittsworth but have since reopened.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
