Easter egg hunt brings community together

Families enjoyed a community Easter egg hunt at the Lions Park in Millmerran.

The community enjoyed a series of craft stations hosted by Millmerran Community Support Services, MAPA and C. & K. Millmerran Kindergarten before the Easter egg hunt was on! Then it was time for a cup of coffee from Fay Duke’s Bean & Gone coffee van and a barbecue lunch courtesy of the Lions Club.

The day was organised by the Millmerran Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) and assisted by Millmerran Community Support Services.

Over 200 people attended the free event.

Live music kept spirits high and there was free face painting by MAPA student Paige Byers.

Children and adults alike enjoyed lawn games such as tug-of-war and sack races.

Personnel from Millmerran police, Millmerran fire brigade and Forest Pines fire brigade joined in the fun.

“We would like to thank our community for their continued support of the Millmerran Academy of Performing Arts Inc. as hosts of this now annual event and for allowing us to truly ‘magnify our outback potential’ as advocates for our youth and community,” said MAPA President, Natasha Hollis.
