East Street roadworks still going
The continuous repairs on East Street are not over yet as council workers have begun work on the shoulder of the street.

The work, referred to by Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) as East Street Kerb and Channel and Footpath Renewal, extends from the intersection with Clark Street to O. B. Bell Memorial Park on the southern side of the street for approximately 400 metres.
Current works on the street’s shoulder follows the work on the footpath, driveways and gutter over the last few months that has now been completed.
In the section of East Street between Grimes Street ans Gillam Street, kerb and channel works have been undertaken and base gravel has been completed.
TRC says the bitumen sealing is programmed for mid-May.
There is also work currently underway on Upper Spring Creek Road, a road that intersects with the New England Highway.
