Discover A Slice Of Allora’s History
Allora and District History Society is always open to anyone looking to lend a hand or become a volunteer.

Visits to the Allora Museums can be arranged in advance by phoning Jim Anderson (0437 342 456), Kaye Mullins (0448 666 132), Wendy Ardrey (0488 673 778) or Colin Newport (0408 740 622).
Every Thursday from 9am till 11.30am the Museums are open while working bees take place.
If you’d like to lend a hand or become a volunteer for the Allora Historical Society, you’d be most welcome.
At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Allora and District Historical Society thanks were extended to the hard working, proactive volunteers who keep the Society and Museums operating.
The meeting was well attended by Committee members, volunteers and Councillor Marco Gliori.
John Ellwood, who chaired the meeting congratulated the incoming Committee -
President Jim Anderson, Secretary Wendy Ardrey, Treasurer Kaye Mullins, Vice-president Ken Cuskelly, Research Officer Colin Newport.
Ray Shooter was nominated and unanimously voted in (in his absence) as patron.
The Society gave a wonderful tribute and minute’s silence for his late wife Olive Shooter.
Here’s good news for Allora.
The Allora and District Historical Society has organised two Cross Country Bus Tours for February next year.
These trips will bring visitors to town, helping to put Allora on the map.
