Deuchar Church Goes For High Price
Over 150 people were in attendance on Saturday for the auction of Deuchar Sacred Heart Church, which sold for $385,000.

Matt Cleary of Ray White Pittsworth said there had been a lot of interest leading up to the auction with 160 people attending across four openings.
There were 45 registered bidders with bidding starting at $100,000. Mr Cleary said the sale price of $385,000 was well above valuations.
The property was purchased by Grant and Angela Gadsby of Ramsay.
Grant Gadsby said he and Angela did not have a maximum price in mind. “It was too good to let go,” Mr Gadsby said. “It had a bit more going for it and a good story behind it.”
Mr Gadsby said they appreciated the heritage and uniqueness of the property.
The Gadsbys have not decided yet what they would like to do with their new purchase.“We’re weighing up a few options at the moment,” Mr Gadsby said.
The potential options included using the church as an Airbnb or as a wedding venue.
