David Littleproud Re-Opens QCWA Rooms At Allora
On Saturday 27th January special guest the Hon David Littleproud, Member for Maranoa and Leader of The Nationals officially re-opened the QCWA Rooms by raising the Australian Flag.
Members and interested locals enjoyed a delicious morning tea and a chat about the renovations such as the toilet facilities and the outside ramp that are now wheelchair accessible.
Glass has been removed from the front verandah and the major job of painting has been completed by Marianne Lewis, Wingon Hu and Jill McKay who all did a great job of painting the front of the building.
Thanks are also extended to Allora Hardware, Trevor Neal, Piston Pumps and Graham Anderson.
Following this extensive work that has being carried out on the interior and exterior of the building in Warwick Street, the CWA members can now resume their regular gatherings.
New members are most welcome on the third Tuesday at 10am for the Branch Meeting or each Monday for handcraft, chatting and of course the obligatory CWA cuppa.
