Only leading 14-6 at half time, the Danes went into the sheds quite frustrated with a high turnover rate and having done a lot of defence in the opening stanza.

Cody Evans, Blake Cullen and Nick Finnie showed the win in the second half with an emphasis placed on simple football.

The game opened up in the final 15 minutes with Laurie Jocumsen pulling the strings from the full-back position, taking home the two points and players’ player award.

Josh Biscoe was also effective in his 20 minutes at 9.

The Danes face a red hot Gatton Hawks side next week in a Saturday night blockbuster at the Kennel.

B GRADE

The Danes Reggie’s returned to the winners list with a 52-12 win over Newtown.

We came out of the blocks firing to take a 30-12 lead into the break.

We spoke about keeping the Lions scoreless in the second half and it was very pleasing to see us achieve this goal, defending numerous sets on our goal line.

Kyle Brose again was out-standing leading the team around the park and was well supported by Sam Martin and Gari Doura.

Big game against the Hawks this week boys let’s get to training.
