Conducted by Mrs Kate Hughes, this visit was the second time the ensemble had travelled to McLean Care CWA House this year.

The visit brought smiles to the hearts and faces of the residents, who enjoyed the musical interlude.

St. Monica’s School Choir is open to all students, and indeed, has students from Grade 1 upwards.

Following this visit, the band ended the year with a performance at the Oakey Historical Museum on Sunday night.

It’s been a year of big performances for the St. Monica’s Choir - 18 students from the group took part in a mass performance of over 300 students at the 2024 SingOut Choral Festival at The Empire Theatre in June, which was conducted by Mrs Jenny Moon of the Brisbane choir The Voices of Birralee.

The following week, the choir competed against schools from across the Darling Downs at the 2024 Dalby Eisteddfod.
