Congratulations - Maryvale State School

Last Friday the Maryvale State School won the Queensland final of Kids in Space 2024 program which looked at space junk solutions.

Over 100 schools across Australia including Government, Independent and Catholic Schools participated with 14 schools from Queensland. 

This is an excellent result for a school of about a dozen students.

The Kids in Space program held development days for teachers with guest speakers from the space industry.

Then with support from teachers, students work through the Kids in Space challenge course and design solutions to problems they had identified.

Maryvale State School will now represent Queensland in the National Finals at the Australian Space Discover Centre in Adelaide later this year.
