Confirmed: 'Showcasing' event will happen in '24
Organisers say Showcasing Pittsworth will return in autumn of next year after this year’s successful event.
Run by Gardens of the Downs and Pittsworth District Alliance, Showcasing Pittsworth brought visitors to town mid-April from far and wide to enjoy a weekend of open gardens, markets, exhibitions and entertainment.
While numbers were slightly down on the previous event in 2021, it was nevertheless deemed a successful and positive undertaking for the town.
“We had great feedback especially from the community groups involved and from the business community, “ Alliance vice-president Rhonda Ashton said.
She said local gardeners were happy with numbers and visitors had come from as far away as Lismore and Longreach.
The weekend had coincided with some big events that weekend including Meatstock and the Red Hot Summer concert in Toowoomba.
A date is yet to be set for next year but it will be in autumn.
