Community connection aim of new Clifton event

A new Toowoomba Regional Council initiative saw a few of Clifton’s community groups and businesses host stalls for the Clifton Community Connect event last week.

A representative from each organisation was given a chance to speak about their group, as Tracey Brooker from the Clifton CWA branch hands the microphone to Clifton and District Progress Association President Margaret May.

Community Connect was about “focussing on what’s strong in Clifton.

The event, held at the Clifton Senior Citizens Centre last Wednesday evening, had originally been scheduled two weeks beforehand but was postponed due to wet weather.

Businesses and community groups were able to share with one another and some members of the public what they have been up to and what their plans are for the future.
