Clifton State School hosts art exhibition
Clifton State School students had the chance to share their artistic talents with the wider community last Friday at their school’s art exhibition.
The idea to host an art exhibition came from teacher aide Stacey Burton, a Warwick resident, who has worked at the school for many years.
Stacey had a personal experience with a similar event while at a school in Pittsworth which inspired her to have an art exhibition hosted in Clifton.
Students across many grades contributed art works on display, such as Poppin Pop Art by the Year 2s and Year 3s, Sensational Scratch Art by the Year 4s, Designer Digital Art by the Year 5s and Self Portraits by the Year 6s.
The exhibition was accompanied by a performance from a Clifton State High School band.
Last week was a busy one for the school, which also participated in the Clifton Book Week parade alongside St Francis de Sales School.
