Clifton scouts win campfire cooking contest
Clifton Scout Group has defended its trophy from last year with a win in the Cunningham Division of the Scouting Campfire Cooking Competition.

Competing against scout groups from Stanthorpe and Warwick, the Clifton scouts, Zoe, Charlie, Clay and May cooked up a delicious meal of pumpkin soup, a camp oven roast and a pizza dessert to take out first prize and move on to the next stage of the competition.
Wirraglen Scout Camp near Highfields is the site for the next stage where the Clifton Scouts will compete against other Darling Downs scout groups from as far away as Dalby.
The camp fire cooking competition is sure to help develop culinary skills in these 11 to 14 year old scouts who will benefit for many years to come.
