Clifton Australia Day celebrations coming up
The Clifton Senior Citizens Centre will be hosting Clifton’s Australia Day awards on Sunday, 26 January.
Clifton Australia Day committee president Julie Blurton said the Clifton Lions will be providing a barbecue breakfast from 7am.
Coffee, tea and juice will also be provided - just bring a chair.
The awards ceremony itself will begin at 8am.
Mrs Blurton said there have been nominations in all the categories.
A musical quartet will be providing live entertainment.
The important position of ambassador is being filled this year by well known Clifton figure Bruce Hamilton who is sure to be an entertaining presence.
Clifton’s Australia Day awards have been running for several decades now.
They provide a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate exceptional and well-deserving members of the community and community groups for their outstanding achievements and hard work.
